(Answered): Early Modern Knowledge Argumentative Essay
DUE TODAY at 5:30pm. This course has looked at the construction and evolution of various kinds of knowledge in early-modern Europe: religious, scientific and political. However, until this point, we have largely failed to ask what people knew about women and their relationship to religion, science and politics – in short, we have failed to investigate the gendered nature of knowing. This assignment is an opportunity to rectify that. This assignment asks you to think more deeply than ever before about the ways in which knowledge can evolve. It also asks you to read more broadly about a particular topic and to write a longer essay in response. Critical reading and writing are essential skills that you need in order to generate reports, write research papers in university, or even blog. The skills that you will be practicing here are thus widely applicable; but remember, both take time and practice to perfect, so don’t get discouraged!
