Historians use two forms of sources in order to form our own theories and interpretations of historical events. The two forms of sources are primary and secondary. Primary sources are particularly beneficial for historians because they are free of influence from other historians. It is important, however, to remember that primary sources are not always bias-free – remember, always “consider the source.” Choose a primary source that you can use for your research paper for this class.
